Casa de Las Mercedes actively participates against trafficking in children with the dissemination of this problem in the tourism sector of Mexico City by giving workshops on awareness and identification of victims in the tourism sector.
Trafficking networks move freely using companies dedicated to transportation, taxis, restaurants, hotels, hostels, motels, bars, cafes, spas and resorts, to mention some tourist spaces, which is why the Ministry of Tourism has promoted the implementation of the National Code of Conduct for the Protection of Girls, Boys and Adolescents in the Travel and Tourism Sector (CCN). A bi-annual certification that seeks to train companies in the sector to identify victims of trafficking.
We collaborate in the implementation of CNN, to establish a rapid response protocol in case of identification of trafficking victims, as well as to promote a message of Zero Tolerance to any form of exploitation of minors /b>of age either with suppliers or guests.
